Independence Commitment

What structural independence means

Discovery AI Limited has no commercial relationship with any AI vendor assessed under the IAIL Standard. No revenue from vendors. No referral fees. No partnerships. No services provided to vendors. Every assessment is funded exclusively by the enterprise that commissions it.

This is not a professional commitment that can bend under commercial pressure. It is how the business operates. The assessor has no financial incentive to soften a finding about any vendor. That is the precondition for every finding this institution produces.

Why existing advisory cannot do this

Major professional services firms maintain significant commercial relationships with the major AI vendors whose products enterprise clients use. Individual advisers at those firms may be personally objective. The incentive architecture of the organisation is not.

The relevant test is not whether the assessor intends to be objective. It is whether the enterprise has any reason to doubt that the finding reflects the evidence rather than a commercial relationship.

Published methodology

The IAIL Framework is published in full. No version is ever withdrawn. Anyone relying on an IAIL finding can access the exact methodology under which it was produced. That is not how most advisory firms operate.
